Straight outa Bushwick - this ain't no revivalist bull crap. Sounds like James Brown, Eddie Bo, Lyn Collins, Marva Whitney, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Mahalia Jackson and The Meters in a hot tub. Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings released their third studio albumm, "100 days, 100 nights", October of 2007. The video was directed by Adam Elias Buncher using two vintage TV cameras bought on E-Bay for $50 dollars each.
And peep this: my good pal, Mike Long dancing to How Do I Let a Good Man Down. Not his best, but still relevant. Sharon Jones has played the same place that he is dancing in three times. Long live the 'tour to tour'.
