Klaus Dinger, founding member of Kraftwerk and Neu!, died recently from heart failure. March 20th, 2008 - four days before his 62nd birthday. Hecka sad. Dinger is credited with inventing the motorik beat, or as he called it the apache beat - a constant forward feeling 4/4 beat pushed throughout. Minimal and moderate, deliciously post-war german Krautrock.
